Molecular Biology Techniques

PCR, Gene cloning, DNA sequencing (Manual) Plasmid Cloning, Protein expression and purification, Gel electrophoresis, RNA extraction, RP-HPLC, PAGE gels and Genotyping, Mixograph analysis.
QTL mapping, Marker tagging in Cereal and Vegetable crops.

Breeding Techniques

Breeding techniques in both self pollinated (Rice, Sesame and Groundnut) and cross-pollinated crops like Cotton, Sunflower and Maize.
Marker assisted selection in Vegetable crops such as Tomato (Ty1, Ty2, Ty3, Mi, Sw5, I1,2,3, Ve markers, Hot pepper (Rf), Brinjal (Bt), cabbage & cauliflower.
